La música de hoy
“Please, save me from people who’ve been told what to like, and then like it. In my opinion, if you are over 6 years of age, and you are still getting your music from the radio, something is desperately wrong with you. I can only hope that somehow mp3 players and file-sharing will destroy FM radio the way they’re destroying record companies. Then, even though the air will probably never be safe to breathe again, maybe it will be safer to listen to.”
El 99% de la música retransmitida por las emisoras de mayor audiencia es pura basura: carencia absoluta de contenido o mensaje, cultura, rebeldía, crítica, imaginación, etc. Las discográficas manejan todo el cotarro, tienen los medios y el dinero para promocionar lo que les interesa. Y tú, y yo, escuchamos lo que ellos quieren que escuchemos. Yo hace años que abandoné las emisoras de música y, desde meses, también cualquier emisión de radio FM o AM. Ahora oigo lo que quiero, cuando quiero. Y soy más feliz. Tú también puedes serlo.
